The color and grain of the wood will vary from the product photos as wood is a natural material. The engraving is a dark-toned etching and may also vary in darkness depending on the grain of the wood. To ensure durability, we rub each cup with food-safe bee's wax. Hand wash with soap and water and apply bee's wax or food-safe mineral oil every few weeks, and after cleaning to help season the wood and prevent staining. Certain foods may stain the wood if not continually treated.
